The Challenge
Southeast Surplus Underwriters General Agency (SSUGA) is a managing general agency and surplus lines agency, handling both standard and non-standard insurance. SSUGA provides services for the management, marketing, processing, underwriting and claims functions for retail agents.
SSUGA required assistance with implementing upgrades to the production software utilized for processing insurance claims (named SIS). SIS is a vendor-supplied packaged software solution that had been modified by SSUGA in-house to meet its specific needs. Due to the variances in the SSUGA and vendor versions of the software, SSUGA had to retro-fit its modification to the new version of SIS.
Third Day's Solution
Third Day Solutions provided resources to SSUGA for the purpose of performing the necessary software modifications to the SIS application to facilitate implementation of the new release of the software. Third Day Solutions programmers were highly skilled in systems analysis, programming and testing in the iSeries/RPG environment. The upgrade was completed on time and within budget. In addition, Third Day Solutions performed additional enhancements identified by SSUGA, and other tasks as directed by SSUGA management.
